It's mutch easyer to use than try to paint.
I dinent whant the shiny metal.

Make an easy cheap test take an 24AWG (from inside a CAT 5 cable)
75cm long I dont know how many foot but it shoud be somthing like 29,5 inch.
And solder this to same place as coax core.

I feel like it improved the reciver alot with verry small resourses.

I took my holder apart 5 torx.
Made a T in 1mm soft aluminum with the strait part about 10-15 cm.

OK
there is RS-232 9600bps 8 data maby no pariy and 1 stopbit.
IPOD use almost RS-232A thats TTL signaling with 3,3V
