Well after all the hullabaloo everyone's gone relatively quiet now the patch is out.

Personally I couldn't give a tuppeny toss i'm happy with the bodge - it's working well.

Is this a common reac ...

I'm still noticing a slow fall in memory even after the hack.

Could it be that the software is still leaking memory but at only a quarter of the previous rate?

Then you've got nothing to lose - try the fix.

Tests with wired GPS showed no difference to BT.

So far the hack seems to be the only compromise.

I think you're right, mine seems fine now but i'll reserve judgement until after a few long journeys - it's appeared 'fixed' before then all turned to rat s--t.

Someone I know is testing wired GPS's with it this weekend i'll know more tomorrow.

Also, with mine the 'fix' solves the exit hang OK.

But as I reported last night after fixing, the 4700 counted ...

After reading another suitably corporate missive from that fine body of men and women at TT that would have impressed 'Sir Humpfrey' the implication was that an early fix to this problem was possible ...

Just thought I'd chip in that myself others are having the self same problems as yourselves.

Bios version has no effect.
