What is typical integration algorithm? Does the system usually wait for GPS fix and takes network based positioning only after GPS fails? (some GPS timeout should be assumed).

Mike, I believe you are talking about so-called long term ephemeris. They can speed up the first fix, but are useless for satellite search.

I think that some of TT models use Broadcom Chips now.

Today I bought tomtom one N14644 etc (Canada 310 on the bottom, exactly as Pocketgps described) and it indeed resembles v4 but it is not equipped with Bluetooth and CD card.
