Spending thousands of pounds on mapping of an area you wont be walking on is ridiculous.

So why bother to find out the exact price, just trolling?

Have you actually read Foghat's post above? He's already bought the whole UK at 1:25k on a Satmap card. The price is/was probably a "few" (i.e. more than one) ...

Garmin Oregon currently has issues with all SBAS systems (see the Oregon Wiki). Buy with caution if you are specifically wanting to use SBAS sats. However the Oregon is still a great unit.
