The firmware is the least of your problems - you're probably better off sticking with whatever firmware works. It the POI's and speed camera updates you'll be missing!

Hi,

I route the power cable under the mat under the steering column and then up to the i3 sat next to the A pillar. Which is fine, so long as I remove the power cable before I get out the car.

Can't you just not put a postcode in, type the town/city in, then the street/number in whatever order it is.
