And you've selected the same COM port as works in other applications and closed those applications down before launching MN4 (check in your task manager application)?

I used Navigon MN4 for a long while with a CF GPS running on COM7 at 4800 baud in NMEA mode.... so it's definitely not that.
You don't have the Tomtom GPS driver (2.08 & above) loaded do you ? |

On my 2210 the BC-307 was detected as "COM7 - CF GENERIC", but only when inserted. It also used to announce itself as a modem occasionally....
4800 NMEA were the default settings though. |

That's the issue though - the two systems are "in competition" and map makers licence the ability to decode the messages - so unless the map maker licences both variants you'll have the issue - unless ... |

30000 is still a very small sample compared to the number of vehicles out there though - ok we've moved the decimal point, but only from 0.001% to 0.01% |
