If the Mio 269+ is the same as the Mio 269 then the socket is on the back top right hand corner. It is a small brass hole.

I would hold fire, if I were you - the 269(+) has an outstanding record of grabbing satellites where many others fail, including behind athermic and (Ford) heated screens.

What rom image version is your unit using? the latest version for the 269+ is R13. This may well cure your problem. If you should need R13, shoot me an email
