Is it possible to delete all files from tom-tom xxl and replace it with tom-tom start 60 system.
I want the xxl to power up and off with ignition.

The version on both my 910 & the XL have the option to power off when the charging source is removed. This though also powers up on the 910 but only off on the XL, which is a pity.

I have a 910 running 7.161 and this has the facility to set it to switch on & off when the ignition is turned ( I have my sat navs permanantly wired )

Well I bought a Nuvi and it was useless.
It couldn't find it's way out of it's box.
In my opinion they are a POS.
Tomtom on the other hand are excellent.

It's not on show, it is recessed in a compartment in the dash and also covered up when nones in the vehicle.

I have just upgraded to v5 from 4.2, and in order to fit everything on inc poi cameras etc, I had to delete a file called faces.dat. Everything seems to work OK without this, but what is it ?
