Yes that is my situation. I have just the Europe map vers. 9.00 on my Go 1005. That explains it. Thanks Andy.

Thanks to you both for replying. I can't get my USB TMC running with either the mctx.dat file containg the gibberish or 22220. At least I now know that the file should contain gibberish.

Two ways - try it on another TT (any gox20 or x30 will do), or try another antenna from somebody else's TT.
