There are other, more ephemeral improvements to the app, according to TomTom, including more sympathetic music fade.

I hope this means we'll be seeing music volume faded and the navigation instruct ...

Not bad as a bit of fun, poor though that the one moaning about camera vans supposed to be clearly marked (motorway bridge) actually appears to be a ANPR vehicle check set up...and infact is the same ...
