The Comet's dead pixel policy is totally irrelevant. The unit is defective and you are entitled to get it fixed for free or get a replacement. The law of the land (UK anyway) comes first.

I've got the BT-338 working with Version 5.
Only thing I can suggest it try and do a factory reset. I know Tomtom has a habit of changing the GPS settings and not putting them back them you close ... |

I've now noticed on the motorway she says "Beware!" everytime I go over the speed limit and a 70 sign appears in the top left. I don't know whether its MN5 or POI-Warner.

On my trip to work, I've found that the MN5 map is far more advanced than the Tomtom one (V5).
