Just came across this thread because I was looking for the exact same thing, a program to track and then save my routes on TomTom.

Only problem is the site now seems to be old, are they still answe ...

Are you saying that the postcodes included with TT6 are worse than TT5? I have TT5 at the moment and to me the postcode is pretty good, TomTom couldn't have made it worse in TT6 could they?

I recently purchased a 2nd hand Orange SPV-M2000 and have been unable to customize the today screen. There is no Today option in Settings/Personal like there is on my Mitac Mio 168.

I am looking at buying a Mio 168 with TTN 5.0 but I have been reading many reviews on GlobalPositioningSystems and PocketGPSWorld forus that the Mio locks up/freezes when using TTN.

It's just another bug in TT5, TT3 never had this problem.

I received my Spectec Wi-Fi card this morning.

Glad to say it works fine with no problems whatsoever. Tiny as well and much cheaper than anywhere in the UK.

I have one on order for my Mio 168, £44.45 inc shipping.
Hopefully it should be delivered by the end of the week so i can try it out.

Best thing I did was to disable the showing of POI's on the map.

Makes the map much smoother and I no longer have to wait at around 10 seconds for the map to rotate after I have made a turn.

I have had a few lockups in the past. Thought it was the heat but it wasn't. I have now disabled POI's on the map and have had no lockup since.

He'll probably say "Turn left, you blithering idiot".

Waste of money though.

well first up you don't need a hack for the safety screen speed - change it in preferences.

Where did you get that from? There is no option to change it in the preferences.

Oops, I did miss the point. I was thinking Landscape as in looking/browsing the map for the road.

I used the rotate screen option and can now see a lot more of the address when searching. The only ...
