|
|
I have searched for a resolution to my problem, but it returned 0 results, please forgive me if this is a FAQ.
I have just bought TT3 and have tried to install it on my PC, I can't do this because I keep getting the following error message....
"Your PC does not support the devices for which there are applications in this package. Please install the supporting software first and run setup again".. I have searched for a fix for this on Google and have located an update on the TomTom website, this however does not resolve my problem.(This fix was just run from my H/D) Please can anybody help me get this sorted out.
Many Thanks |

Thank You.. I have not installed it. I did not know my PDA had to be connected to my PC before I could install the program. I will try this and then report back.
Thanks For Your Help. |

Thanks that sorted that problem out.... I now have another problem.. I have installed everything on my XDA2 (TT3 UK) and when I try to access it from the menu I get a screen asking for me to go to an internet site and activate the software. I have done this but the device code I am given on my PDA does not match that one on the website. This is a brand new product and not second hand so how has this happened? Who should I contact to get this sorted out or should I just back the CD to who I bought it from... Any suggestions?
Thanks |

Look inside your TTN3 CD box - you will see a sticker somewhere near the CD - it will have a 15-character alpha/numeric code - this is your activation code. Go to the TomTom website as instructed and put that code in to activate your TTN3

Easy way to find out is to call Tom Tom Support, I only have the UK number +44 845 161 0009.
Why the references differ is the real issue. TomTom are real sticklers on SW activation. (All about anti-piracy) But they will explain all that to you, you'll need info re where you bought it and will be quizzed about why it finds a different machine. I installed TT3 on my 3780, which failed, then on a 2210. i had to email them the proof of purchase of the new iPAQ so they would activate it as it was with 7 days of first install.
They were very professional but uncompromising on that requirement! _________________ Fraserp

Go to the TomTom support site, log in to My TomTom (or create an account if you didn't already) - then read one FAQ. At that point, the link to send a message usually appears.
