Hi everyone, I’m starting a new business and need both a phone and a Sat Nav system (one that can also warn me of fixed position cameras) in a package with as few wires as possible, I’m starting from zero i.e. no legacy stuff so I’m looking for the best system that is reliable.
I had thought a Garmin StreetPilot 2620 and a separate phone would do the job but in total it is a bit too expensive and I wasn’t sure if the Garmin does speed camera warnings.
So these are my thoughts so far.
O2 Xda II, Tom Tom 3 – Bluetooth headset
After reading this forum I don't think I’ll go down the Bluetooth GPS route so ideally I would like a GPS jacket that fits into a permanently fixed car kit, however I’ve not been able to find one for the XDA II. Does one exist and if so, is it any good? If one isn’t available which wired or CF receiver would people recommend with this set up, I’m fitting it into a Mini (I’m not sure if that makes any difference!). As you may have gathered I would prefer a packaged option if it’s not too much of a compromise.
Any thoughts welcome
many thanks |

I use the XDA II with the Wired GPS and the TT Car Kit which was originally for the first variant of the XDA. The XDA II will fit the TT XDA mount with a little thinning down of the inside of the front two supports and flattening of the inside back curves. This is becouse the XDA II is slightly thicker. _________________ Graham.

the xda2 has bluetooth built in and will work with both bluetooth gps and bluetooh headset at the same time so a blutooth jacket is not needed i can recomend the motarola bt headset there is a backpak for the xda 2 whitch will allow use with a cf card or mirodrive as for the car kit there are a few mounts about i use the arkon powered multi media wont wich has a built in amplified speaker brodit and carcom and well as tomtotm do some dedicated monuts for them to.
as an all in one system i can recomend it but it is a comprimise package and is like anything else not perfect
hope this helps you _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .
