Questions about Garmins

I'm considering buying a Garmin after years of TomTom's.

2 quick questions:

Can you alter the time/distance alert for the warnings when you upload the pocketgps world speed cameras (and is it easy to do so)?

Also, do the newer Garmins accept routes to be entered using 'Tyre' software?

No 1 - yes - but only if you use one of the 2 apps available. They require the data to be in GPX and not CSV format for customisation.
