Navigating on local roads

I have recently started to use TT3 and have encountered a quirk/bug which may be well-known. I would be interested to know whether there is any cure or work-around.

I live on a farm, a few hundred yards from the nearest public road. The TT/TeleAtlas map data shows the farm roads (and, in this regard, is better that Navteq's map data, which doesn't include them).

Although the public road that runs past the farm is busy, it has no name, no designation, and there are no houses on it (and thus no house numbers).

When I am navigating towards home, the map shows the correct route to my front door, including the farm roads. But at the junction of the last named public road and the unnamed public road, TT's voice announcement tells me I have reached my destination, even though there is still more than half a mile to go. I get no further announcements until I reach my house, when it again tells me that I have reached my desitination (correctly, this time).

Is this a TT anomaly that I will have to learn to live with?
