Auto directions ?

My latest Garmin (2597) has the auto AI that learns your most driven routes and will guess where you are going and provide a countdown to arrival.

This has all been working fine and from home it shows work and vice versa. The bonus is that it only displays the info and doesn't produce the voice directions. I don't need the voices because I know my way both ways.

However, this morning my normal route was deemed to have a road closure so all on it's own the Garmin recalculated another route and started giving route directions with voice prompts.

Clever :D

(well, apart from the fact that I ignored it and my normal route was OK, must have been late cancellation of roadworks)

I've turned traffic trends and my trends off so glad to know it's working for you.

There have been reports elsewhere of having them turned on causing all sorts of weird routing issues including causing very long route calculation and recalculation times
