Transfer map from SD to microSD

I used to have a Nuvi 265W and I bought USA maps on an SD card, I updated to a Nuvi 2495LMT which only takes microSD, can I simply transfer the maps to a microSD card and use them with the 2495?

I suspect you might be able to transfer the maps to a micro sd card but they'll probably only work with the device they were bought on.

Yep, maps on a card are locked to the card. You can copy the files to another card but they won't work.
