Volvo RTI MY12 Hard drive version

Hello everyone,
I am in need of hep
I recently bought a Volvo XC60 R-design D5 MY12 (hard drive version for the GPS)
I cannot understand why Volvo decided to tell "Whereis Maps" not to include speedcams and school zones on their GPS units. I have manage to overcome this by installing a data base which I found on the web. The problem is I cannot get the GPS to display the current speed limit and the speed which I am doing.
Is this caused by the hardware or the software? Also I cannot import icons..any kind..I have to use what is available from a list which is pre-installed on the GPS
The files I imported were raw data but I converted them into GPXx and it worked fine - just NO SPEED ICON - WHY ? Please help
