Just had to re-install Active Sync for an issue unrelated to TT3. After it was all up and running again, I loaded TT3 and it acted like it does when you first install it. i.e. going through the wizard. All my favorites and preferences were gone!!!!!
Where is all this data stored? On my PC or on the iPaq? I need to find it and make sure it is backed up. |

The config and favourites data is stored in My Documents/TomTom Navigator Settings. If you enable the 'Files' service on ActiveSync it will synchronise My Documents to your desktop and this includes this config folder. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi,
That's strange - I do sync files but last week my Ipaq got hard reset and when I restored a backup then re-sync'd, TomTom had lost all my settings and favourites. I had however, backed up the sync'd my documents folder on the PC before I re-sync'd but even when I copied that over and re-sync'd, none of the TomTom stuff came back - I had to start from scratch.
Any ideas?
Thanks

That is exacly what happened to me, except that I didn't know those files were there at the time.
I just checked my iPaq and founf these 3 files;
Major_Roads_Of_EuropeNavigatorSettings.cfg
Great_BritainNavigatorSettings.cfg
Navigator GlobalSettings.cfg
Is that everything? |
