Can anyone help with the following please?
Bought a Go 1000 6 months ago (includes 1 year sub to Live Services)
Have noticed that one minute I have Camera alerts and then they are gone without switching off device. I know this happens because I drive in town for a living and pass the same cameras all the time.
I have tried TomTom support online but they are a waste of time as they never answer the question. My last email from them said "We do not have the abilty to switch cameras on or off" duh !!! Oh I didn't know that.

Are you talking about TT cams or PGPSW cams on your TT?

And therein lies your answer. Use our camera alerts, better, more accurate, updated weekly and we offer full support.

Thanks to M8TJT & Darren for quick replys.
I am referring to TomTom's camera info which is apparently supplied by Road Angel.
Darren, I may well try your camera info as I am fed up with this situation.
I have since done another search and seems like others are having the same problem on this and similar devices. I bought TomTom after owning a Navman as I thought they are "Market Leader" Navigation and speed of lock-on is excellent but the camera info is vital for me as I drive for a living.
Incidentally, TomTom claim to warn of mobile cameras. Can your database do that? Another reason I bought TomTom services Live! but no point if it doesn't work.

TT claim to only warn of mobile cameras that have actually been seen in the last few hours. I have NEVER seen it work properly.

PGPSW have all mobiles reported by users AND verified by further sightings, logged in their database. Sites which have not had any further sightings for 1 year are purged from the data you download, but are saved so they can be reactivated after a single further sighting.

This means you will get quite a lot of alerts for mobile sites, most of which will obviously not be manned at any one time.
However that''s the price you pay for comprehensive warnings.

For some people even that was not enough, so they also offer you a second optional set of mobiles which have only been seen and reported by ONE person and are still awaiting verification.

That's all in addition the fixed Gatsos, Truvelos and Monitrons, Redlight, Redspeed and average speed SPECS camera sites. It's pretty comprehensive and far more accurate and complete than TT's offering.

Don't hesitate - buy CamerAlert immediately! In my experience it is deadly accurate, will give spoken warnings (downloadable at no extra cost) for all camera positions and types along with the speed limit in existence at that site. In addition it is supported by all its users who help to keep the database up to date with weekly updates.

Thanks to M8TJT, rfp2001, and Andy_P.

Would like to try it for a year but nervous about auto renewable subs. If I pay by Credit Card will my subscription auto-renew?

Cheers everyone,

You could always cancel the auto renew immediately your sub has been taken. I'm not certain but I don't think that you can pay by CC. Anyway, paying by PayPal is safer as they don't give out your CC/bank details to all and sundry, if that's what you are worying about (I do)

I think the Nochex option is by Credit Card but haven't followed it through yet.
