Just updated my map on my Go 520 and it now says No maps found, tried to reinstall my back up from Tomtom Home, but still comes up with the same message. Is there an easy way to get my map back?

Using Windows Explorer, can you see a Map Folder? It might be called United Kingdom & ROI.

If you can, go to Switch Maps. Are you offered a Map to Select?

If so Select it.

Otherwise, if you downloaded a New Map, HOME can ADD it to the Device, or should be able to.

Select Add Traffic, Voices, Safety Cameras, etc and then Items on my Computer. There should be at least one Map available.

The only screen on the tomtom is the no maps found screen. I cannot go beyond this screen. I can find a Tomtom folder on the computer with map files, can one of these be reinstalled on the tomtom?

You mentioned that you have updated the Map.

The Map is stored on the PC.

If you connect the 520 to HOME you can add this Map to your 520.

Select Add Traffic, Voices, Safety Cameras, etc and then Items on my Computer. There should be at least one Map available.

The only other problem you might have is that you may be using an old Navcore. How old was the previous Map? And the Navcore, if you can remember.

I would guess this is what happens when using illegal maps?

Is the OP using a map registered in his/her name and have a receipt?

Otherwise OP is not using correct version of Navcore.

Illegal maps?

I paid for a years map update from tomtom, tomtom home said a new map was available and down loaded it, as I have done for the last 6 months or so.

When I connect to tomtom home, it still recognises the 520 and tells me that mapshare updates are available, it will still download & apply them. But once done, the 520 will only go to a white screen with no maps found message. It will not go beyond this screen.

If I go to the add items on tomtom home, I can see that I have 1 map on the 520, which is UK & Ireland, but if I go to add maps from computer it only lists a western europe map which is for my works tomtom and registered under a different e-mail address?

I think you'll need to update the Navcore (software).

To save me a lot of typing, Embarassed I'll point you to This Post by Andy_P.

Also try running the "Clear Flash" utility on the TomTom.

See here for details and download link.

Some suggest you run it THREE times one after the other, I don't know why, but it does no harm to try....
Don't expect to see much happening when you run it.

I'll try clear flash as well, I think I used it before when I had problems with the bluetooth & phone calls getting stuck in a loop, it was never a permant fix though.

Thanks to all the advice guys, tried clear flash 3 times, no difference. Deleted all but the yellow folders and connected to home which updated the software, but still no map found. Tried connecting to home a further 3 times and each time it said using the wrong version and downloaded another update, but still no maps found.

Eventually, on the last update, my maps are back! Only strange thing is that though my maps are UK & ROI, home is now saying I have French camera updates to download? If I attempt to download them it states an internal server error has occured?

Version no is now 9.430 and maps are showing a 2d 3d button that i did not have before, I assume these are the latest versions?

That is correct. The 2D/3D button appeared with the latest (9.430) app.

Thanks, nice to know I now have the latest software.
How do I update to the same version on my works tomtom one new edition? Can it be done without deleteing any files?

Just connect it to Home and 'update my unit'. If there is a new app to be offered for that device, it will......

Tried it already but it never went to 9.430 like the other one has? Both tomtoms use UK & ROI maps and map update service?
