But as we’re losing ad-revenue from this then why not make a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!

Not easy to tell without asking a lot of boring questions!
Obviously the instructions have worked for lots of people, so following them exactly SHOULD work.
To get the ball rolling... To add POIs (including the camera files) to models like the Start 20 you need to be using "MyTomTom2 utility on your computer.
When you have gone to the "Add community content" section of that, you should be loading all the various individual files in the "Add POI" section.
hose files need to have been UNZIPPED from the zip archive file you downloaded, unless you have opted for the special "zipfile" version of the camera database.
Once you have uploaded them, all the camera types should be visible ON THAT SCREEN on the PC, before you even disconnect the TomTom. Are you getting that far?
Also, just so we can write more concisely, please tell us exactly which version of the download you have gone for (e.g. speed zoned, consolidated by type, with or without voice files, or the alternative TomTom zipfile version) _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-)
