Hi Everyone,
I have been using the new Navcore on my 940 but have been experiencing a few issues.
Re-routing takes ages, sometimes I have to stop the car, waiting at a red light is not sufficient time. I tried the TT Clear Flash tool but that has not made any difference.
Also when I am driving the spoken directions have huge lag, it says for example "take the 3rd exit at the roundabout" then waits many seconds before it would then say the road name you are meant to enter. It takes so long that you will already be through the roundabout so overall the response is extremely delayed.
I am also confused by the speed messages in the bottom left hand corner sometimes it displays an image of speed sign, sometimes it displays my speed with the recommended speed next to it with no image of a road sign. I understand the red overspeed part where it warns you are speeding but I cannot understand the inconsistency with the road sign image.
Oh by the way I am using the PGPSW database not TomToms.
Thanks in advance for any replies,

I noticed the long time lag with voice instructions on my 750 last week. For example, the final "turn right" instruction would only be announced about 5 seconds after completing the turn, on some occasions
I did a reset of my TomTom by holding down the on/off button until it rebooted and I got the Tomtom drum roll, and it SEEMED to improve matters, but I have not had enough time since doing this to determine properly if it has cured the time lag. Might be worth a try. |

FWIW, I had the "speed" indicator get "stuck" yesterday on a trip. Quite odd to be having the background go red on a 60 mph limit dual carriageway and have the speed show as 37mph. Anyway, I power cycled it, and it was working again, but 5 mins later it was stuck again. This time a simple power cycle didn't fix it, so I gave it 20 seconds turned off, and that didn't fix it either, so I gave it the 10 second reboot squeeze and this time it came back and didn't repeat the problem. |

Hi,
well I went for the reboot by holding down the power button, that has cured the lag in the voice directions, or appears to have done.
