I have used Garmin's POI loader and sox.exe to install 'UK speed zoned complete' data with 'WAV:male with chime prefix' voice alerts, to a micro SD card. The installation appeared to work (no error messages, anyway) and the Nuvi 2240 recognises the card without complaint.
BUT I can't seem to get a peep out of the wretched thing! I've tested it, as best I can, on a fixed camera near home. I have approached the camera at a speed slightly over the limit, and I get a low sound and a visual warning on screen, but no voice.
Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? I'm running out of ideas for variations to try.

Hmmm
It seems as though you have done everything right:
.WAV filenames the same prefix as the .CSV filenames
SOX.exe in the POILoader folder
Ensure that the speed cameras entry is ticked and Cyclops unticked if you have them installed.
Have a dig around here "SOX" and check your SOX.exe version. I seem to remember some of them can be incompatible with some OS's. Mine, for my Garmin 2200, is dated January 2008. (Modified Date).
ps: You don't need to go out to test it. Just turn on GPS simulation mode and plot a route that goes via a camera. _________________ Satnav:

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll have a look at the sox version. I've had a dig around the menus on the nuvi 2240 in case there's something there that's turning it off, but can't find anything. Your ps will save me a lot of time, petrol and a possible fine if I slip up, so thanks for that!

Thanks Kremmen, I've used an older version of sox.exe and now everything seems to work fine. I've tried it out on a few cameras near home, all without leaving my kitchen!
Thanks again,
