Hi all,
I am new to this but have got my system up and running on my ipac 2210
and tomtom 3. I use checkpoint 3.2 for POI uploading and all is well so far.
The problem I have is with Poiedit, i have scanned and created a new map
(for cycling routes), calabrated the map..........now what do i do with it, i put it in the map folder on my pda but nothing was seen. Any help or intructions or links to either would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Kevin

You're on the wrong track here. TomTom is a street routing program with a proprietary map format. It does not accept any external maps.

Look at Oziexplorer or similiar tools if you want to handle your self scanned maps. They need to be calibrated to be usable, either on the PC or directly in the field.

The 'How can I add my own maps to PoiEdit?' reference there is in relation to importing a scanned map into POIEdit's desktop client so that you can see your POI's overlayed on a map, it does not allow upload of maps to TomTom which as has been said uses a proprietary map format.

OziExplorer caters for this kind of use. www.oziexplorer.com and they ahve PC and PocketPC client applications.
