Quick Note Of Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks for these really useful forums - I have Toshiba PDA, Haicom GPS mouse and TT Nav. The setup has never performed reliably since I got it ( froze when I accelerated hard, froze after a few mins etc). Getting to the end of my tether with it I searched on here and found these magic words.....


"Evermore based Haicom GPSes should be set up with the "NMEA 0183v2 4800" setting." Mine was set on Haicom GPS.....

The improvement has been amazing and rebooting seems to be a think of the past.

So thanks for just being here!

I'm glad it helped - I keep posting that tip for a reason.

I'm surprised that the vendors who sell Evermore chipset Haicom GPSes don't latch on to this and put a slip of paper in the package to explain this.
