I don't know if anyone could please help me with this one, it's driving me mad!

I have a TT740 and bough the map update service for 12 (6 free) months.

On my old map, the unit works fine.

I connected it to home and was told that there was a new map available so I downloaded it. Everything went through first time with green ticks so I thought job done.

The problem is now with the new map it will not pick up a signal? I have tried it in it's holder for about 45 mins and still nothing.

So in desperation, I restored the old map which again got a signal ok and did the process (first I deleted the downloaded map to force it to download it again) again thinking there may have been a glitch somewhere and it has done the same again?

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas? Thanks.

First try a soft reset by pushing down the power switch until you get the drum roll.

If that does not work, make a backup of mapsettings.cfg from the map folder then delete the file from the device. It will recreate a new file but your personal settings will be lost. You could also try and delete settings.dat from the root folder//top directory.

Try and run the clearflash utility you can download from the TT web site.

If all that fails, try a factory reset from within the menu.

Thanks for the help. I did a backup, deleted everything and forced a download again. This time it worked :-)

Thanks for your help.
