Yes but with the same caveats as apply to all Nav 3 devices (GO 1000, 1005, VIA and other territory model variants).

The POI support on these models is rudimentary at best, there is no support for custom voice alerts and each POI file and each accompanying bitmap file (the icon) has to be uploaded individually which is time consuming.

To install, use the normal TomTom format files (you'd be advised to use the Consolidated Version to keep the file count down).

Installation is via the 'Add shared POI' menu option in MyTomTom.

Yes, they will work fine, just as they do on my GO 1000.

Another annoying factor with the web interface is there is no visibility of file dates, so you have to remember when you last updated your POI's.

Sometimes while adding the PGPS files I forget which file I last updated, and end up doing them twice to make sure I have sent the latest POI's to my device.

Coincidentally, I've just posted some instructions for this in another topic, if it's any help.

See here.

Another annoying thing is on the m6 around junction 8 to 10 where there have been roadworks with the speedcameras , they were removed 3 weeks ago and are no longer on the database from here, they are still on the TomTom one and its so annoying.

Only one of MANY sets of temporary cameras still on the TT database long after roadworks have finished, sometimes months after.

Just switch them off!

When I save the pgpsw database I always add the date in front of the save, e.g. 09MAR2011_pgpsw-speed-cams-xxx then delete the 02MAR2011_pgpsw-speed-cams-xxx one. Saves confusion.

For those with GO 1000, 1005, VIA disable all the TT cams except for the SPECS, as I found I was only getting e.g. a bing or bong, or the typed in instruction for each camera and no warning of being over the average. Check the TT SPECS and you'll see you can 'turn on' overspeed warnings.

Hi, every time I update the pgpsw-speed-cams on my TT1005 I only update the ov2 files and not the bmp files, should I update both as I download the speed zone complete ones?

No need to update the .bmp files once you have done them the first time.
