TomTom GPS/BT receiver status

I'm using Navigator for Palm 4.1 and the indicated status of the GPS receiver seems to be a little strange:

1) It always appears as 'charging' even when it isn't
2) The battery charge status bar doesn't seem to match the GPS charge status at all
3) Status indicates a receiver connection even after the unit is turned off

Anyone seen similar?
( I have already RMAd the unit to TomTom and they turned it round within a week so the support seems pretty responsive so far. Unfortunately the symptoms remain the same, so I suspect the Navigator s/w. One benefit of the replacement GPS receiver is that it now uses a constant blue light to indicate BT connection rather than the original unit which flashed - which wasn't so great in the car at night!)
Will see what TT suport say.

Got a reply from TT:

The battery status indicator is for the T3 and not the GPS receiver - doh!
It still says Charging though even when the T3 is out of the cradle - must be a bug I guess.

Also Navigator still says that there is a GPS receiver connection even when the GPS unit is turned off because Navigator maintains the BT connection until you exit the app. Not sure if this is how BT connections work for other devices though ...
