Nuvi 660 - CN Europe NT 2011.30 Maps on SDHC problem

I downloaded the Europe 2011.30 maps to my Nuvi 660 and noted there was only 44MB left on internal capacity. I used Mapsource and downloaded the maps to a Transcend 6GB SDHC card with the intention of getting rid of the maps from internal memory. The gmapsupp file is on the card showing as 2.116GB.

When I put the SDHC card in the nuvi 660 it gets to "Loading Maps" and a green progress strip runs from left to right and then the 660 switches off.

Any ideas on how to sort this would be appreciated!

That's the sort of behaviour you would expect if the map is still locked. Yet it must surely be unlocked on your PC, if you can view it OK in MapSource.

As a preliminary, have you checked to see if a portion of the map (rather than the full set) will transfer across OK? Will ANY map transfer across from MapSource OK?
