I have just been asked to respond to a survey on the internet about TT device/s. Here is the the chance for everyone who is getting/has got a new GO1000 device to make their opinions known - if they get the same email. _________________ Gee-Pee

But in case you've never answered a TomTom survey questionnaire before, be aware that the questions are designed to get a good result for TT. You don't get the chance to tell them that Home 3 is rubbish because it doesn't do this, that or the other - the Home question will be something like "Do you think the new Home 3 interface is easy to use? tick 1 to 10". Then there will be the one about if you've owned a TT before, do you think the GO1000 screen is better than the one before? It is from surveys like this that TT derives statistics like "80% of TT Home users like it very much indeed" and "98% of users think the GO1000 screen is the best yet". They won't be asking about 3rd party POI support or Win Explorer backups.
You'll do better to answer the POLL. _________________ Dennis

Normally, I would agree with that, Dennis. But, this time you are wrong. There is ample space to write what you think about whatever device you are reporting on. I made a point of moaning about the backward step that TT has made with the GO1000, in not making provision for 3rd party POIs and the lack of the ability to make Back-Ups (but who knows what we will do if the device crashes on our latest Map upgrade etc.), Yes, there is the opportunity give ones views on Home3 and the inability of novices like me to c***up my device by hacking it around in Explorer. Yes, there is still the 1 to 10 (or similar) grading of the device and I have tried to be accurate in that grading. So, if you get the opportunity, then, in the hope that someone is listening to us, we might (just might) get the PND that we the customers want.
BTW, yes of course I have answered the PGPSW poll _________________ Gee-Pee
