Interested to find out who has one of these units that works well (i.e. maintins a lock when travelling as per the review). AND if the BT connection holds (mine holds really well - but no sat. lock!)

Data I would like is

Location
Software Version
How you power it (USB or batteries)

All I read is -ive about these units HOWEVER the reviews from GPSwhoever are always glowing! Trying to find out why - in touch with Fortuna over this - I want them to replace my faulty unit but need more information please!

thanks!
Roger

Works just fine in V2.26 and in combination with either TomTom or OziCE on my iPAQ2210 (firmware 1.10).

Location: Hertfordshire
Software version: 2.25 (must upgrade soon)
Power: Usually via the car charger, occasionally AAA battery

I have had no problems; use it with an XDA2 but have also used successfully with various iPaqs, including 4540, 3870. Have used in the UK and France. Very seldom takes a few minutes for TTFF, otherwise very fast (much quicker than my NavMan 3000 and comparable with my Garmin StreetPilot).

BTW, the GPSmart does not have USB. Although it uses a USB socket, it's actually a serial port which is why you need to use Fortuna's own lead to connect it to a PC.
