I have just purchased a 940 hoping I could play route instructions via FM . It doesn't look as if this is possible although some websites indicate this is a supported feature . It came with Navcore 8.203 and I have just upgraded to 8.371.
Is there a Navcore where this works ( 8.351 ? ) - if so can any one point me in the direction of a download.
Regards

The 940 was the last of the all singing all dancing nav units made by TomTom and it certainly does have an FM transmitt capability, you do need to have an mp3 track playing though for the FM Tx to work (EU Directive to prevent the unit transmitting carrier only with no audio - Bloody Stupid rule).

Easy way around it is to create/ download a silent mp3 track, put it on the device and set it to constantly loop the silent track - net result is just the Nav instructions and POI Warnings via the FM Tx - Mike

Mike - thanks for the prompt reply . I use the silent track for my 520 running 8.351 . The problem with the 940 is the option to choose FM instructions isn't available within the "Speaker Preferences" menu

How bizzare, I have just tried this on my 940 and sure enough the FM Tx for Nav instructions isn't available, and having checked it is working as intended, not something I have noticed to be honest as I tend to use Bluetooth for all audio outputs, I could have sworn the 940 had nav instructions via FM but thats not the case - Mike
