Garmin Nuvi 1490TV - Line out does it take phone input?

Its my birthday soon and I've seen the 1490TV which looks like a good bit of kit. Has anyone any experience of it? I've had to ditch my TT730 in favour of my old Nuvi 360 to get the phone input to the line out so I can hear it through the car speakers. Can the 1490TV do this? It says its slim, but what kind of mounting does it use? Any knowledge / reports good or bad appreciated - I don't want to ditch another expensive 'toy' as the wife calls 'em.
