Third Party POI Alerts

Having just read in the PGPS newsletter that in future TomTom will not support audible alerts for third party POI's can I assume it just means we will be unable to link TT's own audible sounds to another providers POI?

As I use the PGPS speed camera data base and I thought everything else needed to make it work also provided by PGPS will it still work on newer TT models or have I missed the plot?

If they are just blocking the competition so they can get a monopoly upon their own not very good data base it will definitely hit TT's future sales, because I for one among many others will purchase something else that will allow us to use PGPS. It also has similarities to Microsoft being forced to advise its operating system users there are other Internet browsers available that will run under a Microsoft OS.
