ZUMMO 550 Insufficient memory notification during route calc

Hi, I have a Garmin Zummo550, i am going to France next week, i can calculate a route to the Channel tunnel from staffordshire and also i can calculate a route to the Somme region in France, however when i try to calculate a route on the device to Condorcet (Nyons) At around 85% of route calculation I keep getting a message,"Unable to calculate route,insufficient memory" any ideas? I have already taken off all unused voices from my unit, i have a 4gb Sd card in unit which stores my music files. I never had this problem with my TOMTOM rider2 . Surely any unit should be capable of calculating any route with supplied mapping,I thought that was the whole point of GPs. any help greatly recieved ( try and keep it simple please, 55Yo silvertop biker this end )

Hi,
I too had this problem a year or so ago when planning a trip down to the South of France. I did what you seem to have done, cleared as much clutter off the unit as I could, deleted MP3's and suchlike. All to no avail. Then I checked my settings and found that the routing was set for "Shortest route" after a previous journey. As soon as I changed back to "quickest" the problem was solved. Although simple, i hope this might help, and gets to you in time.
