I have just bought the 950 live and noticed that when searching for POIs on the 950 there appear to be less than on my 910!!

Is there a way of copying the 910 POIs to the 950? If so what are the files I need from the 910?

Many thanks - Clayton

Have you installed lots of custom POI files to your 910? if so use Windows Explorer to view the contents of the North_America map on the 910 and copy all the bmp and ov2 files from this location to the North_America map on the 950.

If you mean the built in POI files are lacking you could always copy the poi.dat file from the north_america folder on the 910 to the north_america map folder on the 950 - Make sure you have a copy of the original poi.dat file on the 950 before doing this as it will be overwritten.

The poi.dat file from a 910 is 150MB
The poi.dat file from a 950 is 100MB

As you can see from the above the 910 file is 50% larger than the 950 - Mike

Hi Mike,

I did think of doing that so tried it out and sadly it didn't work!! It wouldn't even find any POIs during a search. Can you confirm that this will work?

Cheers - Clayton
