|
|
Hi
I'm considering a subscription and would be interested in installing the database on 3 devices. 2 TomTom One's and one BMW Navigator IV.
The website says that this is possible for one subscription fee:
† A subscription allows you to use the Speed Camera Warning Database on a maximum of three devices owned by you or members of your immediate family who live at the same address (Note: Of the three devices, only ONE may be a CamerAlert installation).
What is meant by: "only ONE device may be a CamerAlert installation"
Also can you please confirm that the database can be installed on the BMW Navigator IV.
Thanks

You can have the "CamerAlert installation" PLUS you can have the database installed on up to 2 other devices. Not important in your case
Is the "BMW Navigator IV" one of the BMW branded on-bike devices? If so, I think that they are Garmins under the skin, so should be compatible. I'm sure someone will correct me?
On 2nd thoughts - only the Motorad Navigator & Motorad Navigator III are listed! _________________ Jock

CamerAlert is an iPhone App and it is restricted to one iPhone - if you had two iPhones and wanted CamerAlert on both, you'd have to buy a separate subscription for the second one. This is because the database access is controlled by the iPhone's unique ID being linked to your subscription. You could have our database on two satnavs and one iPhone for the one subscription (I have that setup myself - iPhone and two TomToms) - you could have the database (CamerAlert) on your iPhone and the PC downloaded database on your wife's TomTom and on your dog's Garmin, all for the one annual subscription cost. _________________ Dennis

Hi Guys
Thanks for the prompt responses.
Yes the BMW Navigator IV is a Garmin underneath but I could not see it listed in the compatible devices list.
Thanks
