Lost map, cannot re-download from Home

Hi Guys,

Sorry to muscle in on this thread, but I have a similar problem.

For reasons I dont want to bore you with I have lost my WE map. I have been in email contact with CS and followed their instructions to the letter but still do not get offered a download through Home.

I have at various stages formatted all drives deleted and reinstalled TomTom Home including the TomTom folder in "My Documents".

I did/do not have a copy of the map on my PC and despite over week of emails back and forth I am no further forward.

So I will try asking those that always have an answer. Please feel free to state the obvious (it is usually the obvious that is missed) I will reply if I have already tried it or will try it again.

Different problem really Dave, as the previous guy DID have a copy of the map on his PC.
So I'll split this into it's own topic.

Update.

Appears to have stumped those who have read this thread as well, but TBH it was probably always going to be a TTS issue to resolve.

For future reference, for anybody who has this issue, i.e. no back up of their map, the fix from TTS was for me to create another account with a different email address and link my unit to that account.

Western Europe map downloaded (25 mins btw) and a full back up copied to varoius PC's.
