My Go 730 hangs up

Recently I upgraded my laptop to Windows 7 and immediately the problems started but I have no idea whether the upgrade to Windows 7 was coincidental or produced the problem.

1. Just after disconnecting from Windows 7 and TomTom Home my 730 gets as far as the first screen and the hangs up.

2. I cannot switch it off.

3. It occasionally switches off, reboots and hangs as before. Eventually it switches off before the battery is fully dead.

4. If connected to TT Home it performs as if OK.


I have contacted TT Helpline and a very helpful and knowledgeable lady spent nearly and hour (free call) talking me thought, resetting, checking memory, formatting fixed memory and reloading software via TT Home. Afterwards it worked OK - for short time.

Now, about every second time I try to use it it hangs up again.

Any helpful suggestions as to what I can do, or should I send it back to TT?
