When I try to unzip the downloaded file on my Mac *(for a TT940) I get "unable to archive, operation not permitted". I think I had this problem previously, can someone please point me to the solution.

The Mac's built-in "unzipper" is apparently not very good.
There are several utilities that DO do the job.... two often mentioned here are "Stuffit Expander" or " the Unarchiver ", but there are probably other free programs that work just as well.

BTW, if you use the Search facility at the top of the page, searching for "Mac" AND "Expand" gets you lots of previous advice, such as THIS topic or THIS one, or THIS one.

Thanks, I now remember why I have Stuffit on my Mac. And yes, I was being a bit lazy, although I did Google it first, just didn't do the obvious Smile

when you go to the download page it should detect you are a mac user and explain in big red letters what you need to do - can you confirm if this happens or has our code got gremlins?

No, it doesn't happen, and also when I click on the installation instructions there's no mention of the Mac either.

after selecting your satnav make (TomTom, Garmin etc) then you should see this on the page:

maybe my memory failed me - i thought the whole text was in red, but it's just the 'title'!

Ah, but I go via the "download same format" route where that message doesn't appear. You've shot yourself in the foot there by making it too user-friendly Smile I know I should have remembered seeing that message the first time, but c'mon it was 2 months ago and I did at least remember I'd seen the problem before !
