How to upgrade from SD card

Just a quicky, when upgrading to version 1.4 from a SD card do I put the SD card into the Active10 then switch on or do I switch on the Active10 and then insert the SD card.

I have done this previously but can't remember what I did and can't find the info on the Satmap web site.

The first few instructions with mine say

a. switch on the ACTIVE 10

b. Wait for "Satmap - Way Ahead" screen to clear

c. Insert the Platform Software Update 1.4.5471 (9.2.21) SD card
