|
|
I've just hooked up a XXL to my father-in-law's PC and am doing the first backup prior to the LMG process etc. It seems hideously slow.. 40 mins estimated to back up... my TT720 is very quick by comparison. Surely the XXL doesn't have USB1 and not USB2? Does anyone know? |

The devices in the Go product range (x20 and newer) all use USB 2 but even new XL Live devices are only USB 1 and from the durations you are quoting I would tend to agree your XXL is indeed USB 1 - Mike |

Most likely is USB1 as the XL (2009) and XL LIVE (2009) models are USB1.
No doubt someone who has tried one will be along shortly - what maps do yo have - UK or Europe? |

Maybe Mike is slowing down
(or more likely he's over at tomtomforums correcting answers I gave to users there. That keeps him VERY busy...... ) _________________ David |

They were the Europe maps.. iirc, the XXL is only available with those. It wasn't just copying off, but also copying to... (LMG to the 840 maps as it came with 835).
I really can't believe anyone is still using USB1.x chipsets... shame on you tomtom... |
