When the 750 was originally announced, they said that it would have TMC without a separate cable because it was built in. Now I think I have seen references to it not having TMC.
The Expansys site says:
TomTom GO 750 LIVE In-Car SatNav (UK, Ireland & Europe Maps),
"Always have up to date traffic information when you drive. The TomTom 750 active dock contains a built in TMC (Traffic Message Channel) receiver, which receives the latest traffic information as your drive. "
http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=187564&partner=ukb2b

Can anyone please clarify?
I don't use satnav that much, so I don't think I want to be paying £8 per month for the full Live service. I realise that TMC would be nowhere near as good as Live is supposed to be. Thanks.

You need to purchase the accessory mount with the built in RDS-TMC to get traffic on the x50 from the radio broadcasts, I to remember the original adverts saying that it would be included with the device but TomTom must have changed their minds - Mike

Thanks Mike - so at least it's possible. Changed their minds as in thought of a way to extract yet more cash...

Not impressed with Amazon, where they have a headline "Purchase a Selected TomTom Live Sat Nav and Save 50% off a Selected TomTom Live Services Pre-Paid Subscription Card" at http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&ref_=amb_link_85664593_3&docId=1000366693

The headline is wrong, totally misleading. The actual discounts are a mere 12% for the 12 Months Pre Paid Subscription Card by TomTom and 10% for the 6 month card...
