post-code download for 2210

Thanks to all who answered my previous question re. tom-tom refusing to start. Your advice much appreciated.

I am now in need of help with my attempt to downlaod and run Niall's(?) post-code programme. I went to his site and downloaded to my PC. there was at one point a message about using something that started "palm....." but as I'm not using palm operating system I said no. The downlaod appeared to have worked and I unzipped. I then copied the files to my 2210 by copy and paste using windows explorer/activesync Files appeared happily on 2210 but clicking on the icon produced no result.

I've uninstalled everything and removed files from both 2210 and PC. Before I start again can anyone talk me through what I did wrong? I downloaded the version that is for Pocket PC 2002 although I have Pocket PC 2003 - presumably they are compatible. Is there something else I should have done before downloading? I saw something about .net compact framework. What is that? Do I need to downlaod this first?

have you made the short cut for the postcode to the startup files on the pda as i think thats the only way to start the program ?,please correct me if im wrong

Thanks Drehen - that is exactly what I did wrong! Working fine now!
