Advice on model please

Hi

I am looking to buy a Satnav on behalf of my elderly mother, so it has to be fairly simple to use, and inexpensive. There is a major problem that she has never been very good on knowing which way is 'right' and which is 'left' (seriously!). So I wondered about some thing like this Binatone model, so she can see which way she should turn?

Any thoughts?

Most modern nav units, if not all, will have an on screen turn indication.

I'd suggest a TomTom or Garmin as having the best and simplest user interfaces.

Perhaps a TomTom ONE or even the recently announced TomTom START? This was intended for those users who want a basic and easy to use device.

Devices like the Binatone may look enticing at that price and may suffice perfectly for your needs but tread carefully.

Consider support, map updates etc. They're cheap for a reason - they don't sell well. And they don't sell because they aren't very good.
