Howdie folks,

I have just installed TT5 but having a few GPS issues. I have a Navman GPS Jacket which is detected and seems to be working fine. I also have a Copilot Jacket (the one with the angled antenna) but it does not seem to be accepted by TT5.

Neither of the jackets were recognized prior to installing the serial driver from the navman website

It would seem that the Copilot jacket is recognized, as when i click on configure it displays:

Copilot iJacket

If anyone could offer some advise on how to get the Copilot jacket working it would be very much appreciated.

Rgds

Although physically identical, the Navman and CoPilot jackets require different drivers.

I have both available for download here.

Hi Darren,

Many thanks for the prompt reply. I am able to get access to the link you provided, but on clicking (or right clicking) the .exe file does not seem to be there.

Apologies, was tidying up the site last night and must have been a little over zealous!

Try now Smile

Make sure you have the insnavman.arm.cab file, I mistakenly pointed both Navman and CoPilot links to the Navman Serial Sriver file and have just corrected it Embarassed

The .cab file needs to be copied to the iPAQ and run to install.

Well i was hoping this would sort it out, but i still get "No GPS Device" listed.

Seems kinda strange that it shows in the configuration but dosent detect. I tried uninstalling the old drivers to see if they were conflicting but still no joy.

I dont know if this might help, but this is what is written on the GPS sleeve itself:

CoPilot GPS Jacket
Model - IGPSJ D15A8
Travroute

Cheers

Do you have the original software CD that came with that jacket? There is normally a 'GPS Jacket Driver' folder on the CD. It may be worth trying that if you have it.

Hi Darren,

What's the difference between the copilot driver on your web site and the one that's available from copilots web site?

Many thanks

None I suspect Smile CoPilot used to make it very difficult to find the driver, it never used to be available as a direct download hence why I provided it.
