Sound volume

I am running CPL8 on a HTC TYTN2 with WM6.1. Overall quite happy but today I hit a , perhaps minor, irritation and my overinflated expectation of what it will do took a knock.

I tend to run Satnav as a 'main screen' display, whilst running an MP3 in the background. Because , on a long journey, the degree of interruption from Satnav is not great I can carry on listening to the MP3 whilst still watching the Satnav screen.

The only difficulty with this arrangement is that , often, the volume levels of the CPL voice and the sound output of the MP3 are not the same. This gets particularly annoying when the volume is set to listen to the MP3 and then the satnav booms over it at very high volume to give directions. I have the MP3 playback set at 100% volume with 'Audio Manager' and play all sound through the car radio , the level of volume therefore being controlled by the radio volume control. Because the CPL8 voice is so very loud I tried adjusting it's volume down using the Menu|Settings|volume option. What I expected was that this would simply reduce the volume of the Satnav voice but instead, what I discovered was that it reduced the overall sound volume of the HTC so even the MP3 playback volume reduced so no benefit was gained at all.

Am I expecting too much in hoping that this CPL option simply controlled it's own sound volume or is this a bugette.
