I am toying with buying a 4350MAX:

My dad is pretty deaf; and might borrow it. BUT he has found every PNA he's seen very difficult to hear : he thinks they are vall ery quiet (to him!), (and of course iwth a relatively high pitched female voice. difficult for people with age related high frequency hearing loss. DOH!). Piping it through the car radio seems a good idea, or indeed through a blue tooth ear piece.

Obviously blue tooth functionality on the new 4350max is aimed at hands free phone use. Can you use it to pipe the normal route directions (turn left ahead etc) through it, to a blue tooth ear piece? If so, we could drive an external blue tooth earpiece or a bluetooth to FM transmitter to feed the voice to the car radio...

Otherwise it'll cost another £150 to get the all singing all dancing 8 series...
which i can't afford at the mo.

Any suggestions ? Anyone been down this route, e.g. notorcyclists who want to hear it?

I beleive the 4350max does not have an old style earphone socket which otherwise would solve the problem, that you could just stick an ear piece into.

Cheers !

gwentvillan is selling an 8310 on this forum - you could see what deal you could get on that.

Also the user manuals on Navigon's site may give some clues on the other models.
